People see dreams to organize their memories.

From Durarara episode 7

Dreams, are so interesting. Though it is an enigmatic topic. It is full of mystery. Some people say dreams are an extension of your thoughts. Which means it represents your unconscious beliefs or wish. Others say that dream is actually a reality that happens and the reality we think is the dream. Today, I met to another interpretation about dreams: “People see dreams to organize their memories.”

This line, however, does not evoke my curiosity towards mysterious things. But it is interesting, as another point of view. Actually, what evokes my curiosity is not the word dream, but memories. I mean how does memories work or belong in your brain? When they “organize” it does it modify it into something you believe? How does organization of memories relate to dreams? I mean is, what we see when we sleep, made out from our memories? Like from our past experiences? Oh lord god, I am just so desperate to know about those things. But at the same time I don’t want to know the truth. I just feel like being ignorant to the non-imaginative reality and float in the world of imagination.
